Muscle Mass

Just wondering is there anyone else here that is just interested in putting on size?

I feel like maybe I maybe the only one here that doesnt really care that much about gaining strengh.

To me the weight I can lift doesnt really matter, the only reason I increase the weight is cause I have to. Really if i could get big by just benching 150lbs and deadlifting 200lbs, I would be all over it. I realize there are quite a few guys on here that are into powerlifting and this is not a dis toward you guys at all.

Im with you there joker, i am very interested in strengh training and would like to learn as much as possible. However that said i love the bodybuilder look, and my main goal is gain as much size as possible. Again im more interested in what size i can push my body to than how heavy i can lift. So your not on your own. Hope we dont get flammed for saying this:biglaugh:

Ross86 12-08-2008 10:09 AM

^^^ It would be hard to flame you for saying that on a bodybuilding forum. :biglaugh:

I want to put on size so I can be stronger. It ends there. Oh, and I want to put on more weight (I don't care if it's muscle or fat) so that I have more leverage when pulling the sled. :D

Personally I think the powerlifter waddle with the big protruding gut and the poor aerobic capacity is dead sexy. :biglaugh:

New to the Forum.. MAss is priority.

Hi all,

New to the forum. I am interested in gaining mass. Along with this I plan to go up in strenght of course but what I really want to accomplish is mass with definition.

From what I have read in other forums. Mass is accomplished by Lifting Big, Eating Big to get Big.

The problem I ran into while bulking and drinking a protein shake with High sugars and such (Muscle Milk) combining it with milk was that my Belly!! was not getting defined. My body in general is sizing well but not fast enough. My mid section towards my belt line has lost definition.. how can i stop this?

I have now picked up a protien with 0g sugar 0g fat, 22g protein and 130g carbs.

Just to be on the opposite end of the spectrum. I'm more concerned with strength gains right now, before I was all about mass. Like Joker said, if I could've gotten big by benching 150lbs, then I wouldve benched 150lbs. :D That's not to say I'm not interested in getting bigger, its just taken a backseat at this point in my training.

I think most people on this board are here for strengh training, which is good its just interesting to know how many people are here for gaining size. In an ideal world it would be great to be huge and have superman strenght. And although i enjoy learning more and more about strenght training i would also sooner be pressing 150lb, but be huge.

Its funny you mention that because, when I joined the board a few years ago it was pretty much all about mass. Its only recently (last year or so) that the forum has shifted to strength/powerbuilding.

I have been pushing heavy weight that is relavent to me and I am eating heavy to gain weight. I am trying to bulk but how to I cut the belly fat. I used to be cut but that is going on the window...what do I do..

Im just thinking, this site has gone from building mass to strenght. So when are we going to go up a gear and take it to the next level, instead of strenght, mass or powerlifting what about WE ALL LOVE THE UK, AND WOULD LIKE TO BE MORE BRITISH!!???

Ross86 12-09-2008 04:47 AM

Not so much...

The British don't have Schwarzenegger or Stalone. Hot dogs and hamburgers aren't as common. Gas is too expensive. Football is played with feet. I could go on...it's not going to happen my friend.
