Default Pre workout shakes????

I've read that thread that talks about pre and post workout nutrition, and I have to say that I thought that it sounded like a good idea to have a pre workout protein shake. But the only question I have about that is if I'm taking supplements that are supposed to be taken on an empty stomach before I train how can I take a pre workout shake? Should I just take the shake an hour or two before I train or what. Thanks for the advice.

Hopefully you aren't talking about No2

Whey takes about an hour to fully digest. If you really have enough time before the gym, then I recommend a preworkout MEAL, which'll be better than a shake IMO. I wake up and lift within 40 minutes of each other, so a preworkout shake is paramount for me. However, if I have the opportunity to lift at the end of my day, then about an hour before the gym I'll eat a small meal. It won't really matter what's in it aside from protein/carbs. I like some chicken w/ rice as my preworkout meal.

Another option is to buy some BCAA's. I prefer Xtend myself. If your "supplement" beckons you to take them on an empty stomach, then I wouldn't be buying them. Lifting on an empty stomach will put you in a catabolic state when lifting faster than if you ate a preworkout meal/shake. I'm pretty sure you're talking about NO2, which is one of the MANY reasons why I don't recommend them.

No I don't take No2. That supplement is a joke. I take creatine right before I hit the gym. And I also am cycling superdrol. I always take BCAA's before and after the gym. I used to JUST take my creatine, BCAA's, and superdrol. Occasionaly I'd have an orange or something similar. But recently I have realized (from this board) that I need to eat something before the gym. So now I take a meal replacement shake. I have been off of creatine and superdrol for a few weeks and haven't had to deal with taking everything together. Now I bought more creatine and am ready for another superdrol cycle, hence the question. I was always told that creatine and superdrol should be taken on an empty stomach. Is this not true? Thanks for the help on this. You have alot more experience in this then me.

You say you're cycling SD. How long are you waiting in between cycles? And how long are your cycles? What PCT are you using?

SD is a designer steroid. I also think it's a diuretic, meaning it'll get rid of your water retention. So taking the SD with creatine (which adds water to your muscles) is a waste of creatine.

In my opinion, I would save your creatine as part of your PCT along with whatever SERM you're using.

You should be taking your Superdrol with some fats. I can't remember where I heard that from. Also, taking SD preworkout will give you a killer muscle pump from hell. I recommend taking 3 grams of taurine to help with this, or take the SD later.

I agree with everything mentioned above, but IMO since creatine is so damn cheap anyways, why not take during the cycle.

It may be redundant when it comes to water weight, but the other benefits that go along with creatine would be a good addition

If you a worried about toxicity, then creatine shouldnít be the issue in this case.

I have been cycling it one week on and one week off. With a dose of only 10mg. As far as PCT I take milk thistle. I also take fish oil and flax seed oil daily, along with Russian Bear multi's, and folic acid. I have been taking the SD one hour before I workout.

Holy shit! That's not good man. I took it for 3 weeks and it shut me down completely!.. And yep, only 10 mg for ME (262 lbs at the time) per day.

PCT= Post Cycle Therapy. You're basically fixing all the damage caused by taking a designer steroid. Milk Thistle should be taken DURING and slightly before your cycle because it's function is to protect your liver.

What you're NOT doing is addressing your body's test being shut down, or your increase in estrogen levels. A PCT should at minimum include either Nolvadex or Clomid!

I include Mild thistle in my daily supps wether I'm on SD or not. I thought that that was all that was needed. I've read all the post's on SD in the supplement section. Maybe I missed the rest of the PCT's. I read about all the bad side effects that some people were expererincing and thought that if I kept the levels at 10mg,instead of raising it 10mg every week, that I might avoid all that. Also thought that if I had one week on and one week off that might help as well. You Me. So now the question, how should I go about taking this and what else should I include in my PCT.

Excerpt from Superdrol For Dummies:

SD has a low shelf life, around 6-10 hours therefore make sure you plan your intake every 6-8 hours.
Different people have different opinions to this question. From what I've seen, the over all consensus is to take the first dose in the morning with an empty stomach with loads of water.
The next with your preworkout meal with good fats like EFA's , Flax and fish oils, peanut butter. Superdrol takes a heavy toll on your lipid profile. A carb and fat rich meal would somehow help a little bit here. This is my opinion, others differ with it. Preworkout superdrol gives awesome pumps during the workout/weight training routine.

Does superdrol require a PCT?

Like every ph on the block SD needs a PCT.

Give me a sample superdrol PCT.

wk1: 40mg Nolva, 600 6oxo, 3 fenugreek caps, DHEA 200mg
wk2: 40mg Nolva, 600 6oxo, 4 fenugreek caps, DHEA 200mg
wk4: 20mg Nolva, 300 6oxo, 5 fenugreek caps, DHEA 100mg
wk3: 10mg Nolva, 300 6oxo, 6 fenugreek caps, DHEA 100mg

Is 6oxo and Rebound XT good enough by itself for a superdrol PCT, most people say it is enough
No! By no means is 6oxo or Rebound standalone strong enough to restart the test production in your body. You need a SERM! Period!

Nolvadex is therefore ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY for an superdrolcycle. Please note its Nolvadex not novedex or nolvedex. Please look for Tamoxifen Citrate.

If budget permits you can also look into NAC.

Does running milk thistle along side superdrol inhibit gains.
No, silymarin does not inhibit any gains and does not have any chemical significance. It is purely for the liver. Its effect however is best in the preload and pct.

What are other good supplements I can run along side superdrol to combat side effects?

Red Yeast Rice- A fermented rice product, that is our best fighter against negative sides form AAS concerning cardiovascular damage. Comprised of nine different monacolins, which are naturally occurring substances that help regulate cholesterol levels. Along with sterols, and monounsaturated fatty acids, it packs a strong punch.
Dosage : 1.2g ED

COQ10- Although this is abundant in food sources, I feel it prudent to put on here. Not only does it show to help cardiac function, but itís also imperative to be used with Red Yeast Rice. Can be used in combination with other cholesterol lowering supplements.

Celery Seed- A powerful anti-oxidant, shown to not only lower blood pressure, but may have cancer fighting properties as well. And there is evidence to show its ability in aiding the liver.

Hawthorne Berry: Also very useful to lower BP and keep it on check. A great on cycle supplement.
Dosage 1000mg ed on cycle.

Policosanol- A blend of fatty alcoholís, shows great promise in its use as beneficial to cardiovascular health, to include the maintenance of healthy lipid profiles. There is also some theory to a synergistic affect with EFAís.
Dosage : 20mg 2x a day

Saw Palmetto: The prostrate is one delicate part of your system that you do not want to affect under any circumstances.
SP @ 320mg/day

Primaforce ProLiver or Liv52.

These supplements are very necessary ON cycle as well as in the PCT.
Here's a quote from Dr.X about it:

Howthorne Berry should be started 1 month pre cycle if you want the full benefit. 2g ed.

Red Yeast Rice in my opinion is a waste of time since itís hard on the liver and lowers CQ10 in your body hence why itís added in along with milk thistle.
I donít need the extra stress.

Saw palmetto you should consider taking 1000-1500 ed. Especially if you are prone to Male Pattern Baldness.

Although Nolva is not mandatory on this cycle I like the PCT you lined up.

Biggest mistake people make on PCT is to change their diet.
Do not change your diet. Keep the calories up so you can keep the gains.
