Default Question on Macronutrient breakdown of chicken breast

I'm using Fitday and when I input a pound of chicken breast, here's the #s they give me:

Calories 886
Fat 35.0
Carbs 0.0
Protein 134.0

I have a hard time believing that there's 35 grams of fat in a pound of boneless/skinnless chicken breast. Same goes for 886 calories.

Am I way off here?

I'm trying to loose another 50 pounds w/ minimal muscle loss, so my macro breakdown is hugely important to me.

As always... your guidance and input is very much appreciated!

Were those numbers for raw chicken?

They estimate fat and whatnot based on cooking methods as well, maybe double check to see what you entered in.

^^ yeah, that. Double check what cooking type you're looking at there. And also make sure that you're not looking at the listing for meat AND SKIN.

The protein levels are about right. Considering cooked (rack roasted/grilled) chicken breast runs 9g protein per ounce, 16 oz in a pound...

Fats per pound of chicken breast typically run anywhere from 0-20g, sometimes a touch more. But it's mainly dependent on how well you trim it before cooking.

Talking Aha... thanks...

When I searched "chicken" those are the #s that came up under "chicken breast." However, when I searched "chicken breast" I got a new choice for "skin not eaten" and that made all the difference. Here are those #s for a pound.

Calories 742
Fat 16.1
Carb 0.0
Protein 139.5

Thanks guys....

I measure 5oz of boneless skinless chicken breast pre cooked at 4.5g fat, 0g carbs and 25g protein. So for a pound about 15g fat, 0g carbs and about 80g protein.
