raw eggs? yes or no

When I was younger and saw Rockie I was inspired to drink a lot of raw eggs... now I'd trying to get back in shape and bulk up again, and I'd rather go "natural" and cheap :) Do raw eggs really help, or do they need to be cooked to get the protein, and is raw dangerous???
Anyone here do three raw eggs in the morning?

i've done 2 raw jumbo eggs in the morning for a few years now....i don't like to cook in the morning :)

The odds of getting an egg from the store with salmonella are slim.

It's just another form of protein...it doesn't have to be cooked.

If you can stomach it :)

I have 3-4 raw eggs every morning in my breakfast shake (too lazy to cook and I don't feel like eating in the morning). Hasn't hurt me. Chances of salmonella are not that high (as mentioned). Even if you were to catch it, it wouldn't be life threatening for healthy individuals (those with normal immune systems).

THANKS! I figured it was pretty safe but couldn't find anything specific about it on the net. I also figure it is just about as good of a protein source some of the expensive powders. And Rockie is still alive and kickin, just looking a little older...

:)

Sylvester Stallone did that for the movie he doesn't do that in real life. It was a stunt done on the fly.

You can derive more of the protein content from cooking the eggs. Denaturing the protein helps you get a bit more from it and some people WILL get some undesirable consequences so if you get gas when you do it there you go.

Other than that it's your choice. Except for the ridiculous idea the raw eggs are so much healthier are some such raw food bs..

I get gas when they're cooked so I can't even imagine if they weren't... lol

Yeah i mean if you can stomach it go for it. I love sunny side up eggs though. Heat up that pan and about a minute on each side. That is pretty much breakfast for me every day. I like em runny!

if you are worried about the slim chance of salmonila, boil them for 30 seconds. that will kill the bacteria. I like them in pro shakes rather than straight.
