Default What time do you have your last meal?

Hey guys, just wondering what time guys around here take in their last meal and go to bed?

I've been cutting this past summer, so I stop at 6pm and hit the hay at around 11:30.

I want to start adding muscle mass, but I don't want to put on any fat. Although, I'm worried that I'll start putting on fat if I start eating my meals any later. Is it just a mental thing?

I've always been told that some kind of protein before bed isn't the worst thing. I don't do it now, as I'm in a heavy cutting phase, but during bulking phases I used to have something like a small amount of cottage cheese before bed or something like that (I'd imagine real food would be better here). Now I'm cutting so sometimes I'll have a little fruit before bed just to keep things moving.

I have my last meal at least two hours before bed. No protein shakes right before bed or I'll have to get up in the night, but sometimes I'll have a bar or something. But still an hour or so before bed. If I eat much of anything within an hour of going to bed, I don't sleep well. It's something that I paid attention to after reading an article about it and it has helped my sleep quality.

I think I was putting on more body fat a month or more ago than I am right now. Since I started to eat a little cleaner, I think my fat around my midsection might have dropped a wee bit, but I weigh more than ever. It's probably mental.

i personally train mainly for maximum strength rather than "bodybuilding" so my last meal is generally about a hour before i go to bed. usually i have some cottage cheese, milk, and some peanut butter on whole wheat bread before i go to bed.

For bulking/strength phases, I will usually eat 45min to an hour before bed, and its almost always cottage cheese with a slice of whole wheat toast. I dont like to eat a large meal before bed, I wake up feeling fat and bloated.

It really depends on my gym time. I used to get back from the gym late (11pm). Now however, I switched it so I am back at around 9pm. It gives me a chance to eat my PPWO meal 9.30pm and my before bed meal at around 10.30pm. I am usually tucked into bed by 11.30pm.

My before bed is either 1-2 chicken breast or protein shake with almond butter, cottage cheese and fish oil.

6 to 11 is a long break not to mention you have an entire 8-9 hours of sleep with no food. You could possibly order a timed release style protein or I really dont think it will hurt to have a nice protein/fat meal an hour or so before bed.

If I ever have a protein bar it is usually early in the day. Most of those are loaded with simple carbs and sugars. I only buy bars if they are near expiration. I just got my hands on muscletech bars which were 35 bucks plus tax for 10 bucks plus tax.

i always have a meal right before bedtime. usually it's a couple of eggs with cottage cheese and an english muffin with a small amount of jam. if i was cutting i would probably make it egg whites and cottage cheese with some veggies thrown in and that's it.

regardless, i ALWAYS wake up hungry hungry hungry!!
