Default when do u take your multivitamin?

i was just wonder when during the day do most people here take theyre multivitamin and if they take it with a meal or something like that. i was thinking about it and thought to myself why not take it right before bed since the body does grow when your resting and throughout the night so why not provide it with all the vitamins it needs then

Chinpeicedave-I wouldn't take one right before you workout because multi's draw a lot of water from you in order to be utilized. They are most utilized taking them with food.

-I take one in the morning with food because of the fact that my body hasn't had any nutrients through a whole night of sleep. It's the same with protein. I take a protein shake in water as soon as I wakeup also. I take another mini-multi with my last meal of the day before I sleep. Again, it's so that my body has the nutrients through more of the day instead of just the morning.

Uh-huh, I'm looking for positive nitrogen balance. I drink a protein shake when I wakeup for the same reason why everybody takes one right before bed. Casein before bed, whey upon awakening...It keeps you with the aminos and protein as long as possible. Sometimes I also wake up in the middle of the night to take another shake. Since I started doing this, I shot up 40 lbs, and only gained 2% bodyfat in the process. I actually learned this trick from something John Parrillo wrote. Go to his website, he knows his shit! There's a thousand references to taking protein when you wakeup. I also think one of the past 2-3 Flex magazine writeups has it as well.

As for taking a multi before working out, it uses alot more water than you think. You can't compare the two. Why does everyone and their mother take a preworkout shake consisting of "protein"?

Actually TAURUS, I think you misunderstood...

-As soon as you wakeup, down 1 scoop whey with water (for faster absorbtion)
-Shit, shower, shave
-Eat breakfast, multi,
-carry on with the rest of your day

I'm not saying to drink protein in the morning for energy or a meal or anything. I'm saying that after 8 hours of going without protein, it's best to fefeed your muscles as soon as possible. Trust me, this is great advice, and not very many people do it. ;)

You workout late afternoon I take it. Take one as soon as you wake up, one preworkout, one postworkout. The shake right before bed should be casein and is optional. I usually try for cottage cheese right before bed.

On a side note-Ever wake up and you appear smaller than any other point of the day? It's because your body hasn't had any nutrients, aminos, protein to feed off of throughout the night.

No I'm not saying to use protein as energy. BTW, you're not just arguing with me, but with alot of reputable and knowledgable trainers/bodybuilders as well. I didn't pull this out of a hat. You're body needs protein throughout the day, to include morning, afternoon, night, every second of the day. Why do people take 50 grams of protein preworkout? Is it for energy? Is it for rebuilding?? Protein carries aminos which I'm sure you know. Anti-catabolic properties which the body needs-esp. bodybuilders.
