Anyone heard about Planet X and 2012?

Supposedly, Planet X, which is 8x larger than Earth, is going to enter our Solar System, which it does every 3600 years. It's going to pass between us and the sun, and it's gravitational pull is going to f' us up by causing earthquakes, extreme weather, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and a Polar Shift.

Predictions are that 2/3 of the Earths population are going to be wiped out.

This is supposed to take place on Dec 21, 2012.

Which is pretty freaky, considering the Mayan Calendar, (which is more accurate than our own), ends on that same day.

Nostradamus predicts similar shit.

Shit, that's just 4 years away:wtf:

I'm not one to jump on board with end-of-times predictions and other crazy shit... but the Planet X thing is kind of scary....

Whatchya think?

I don't belive the planet x thing, even at 4years out we would have pictures of it by now......your not listening to coast to coast radio, are you???

i posted something like this a while back, and E-money had a great response.

"how accurate can they be when they couldnt even see the end of their own civilization."

not the exact quote but something like that.

im into tha kind of stuff pimp sticky but i have read and heard some stuff that kind of differs from that. have you seen the preveiws of the movie they made about 2012 which will come out soon?

Well, I for one do not believe in conspiracy theories of this sort. However, it is not just the Mayan calendar which points this out. In Hinduism Shiva's next avatar is supposed to be born in our lifetime. Buddha is to be incarnated in our lifetime as well. These are examples of predictions of things to come in our lifetime. But I do not believe that they are to cause destruction. I believe that we as humans are doing sufficient damage to ourselves and everything around us - we're like a virus. If anything, these "predictions" speak of things to come to cause order and instill peace.

im not really into all that my personal believe is that if and when the world ends we arent going to be able to predict it, it will just happen one day. throughout history every great civilization as come to an end and most of them were abrupt....why would ours be any different.

...

I don't believe in it... however, I don't NOT believe in it either... I'm reserving judgement...

I do have my religious beliefs (I'm Christian), but I don't subscribe to any particular denomination.

I just find it fascinating to discuss. I'm always interested in other viewpoints and beliefs... call it a search for enlightenment and higher purpose or just a fascination with things that we can never fully grasp. I could ponder this shit for hours...
