hey I was curios when I should be using my belt. Currently only use for heavy squats and heavy deadlifts

That's about it! If you start relying on the belt for anything else or where it all the time, you'll look like you belong in the 1980's.

For me, I ONLY use a belt on my final 1-2 sets of squatting or deadlifts over 400 lbs. Anything under is a no-no for me.
