verbatimreturned, its not about how many posts someone has, its about what a person brings to the table. I myself dont like post whoring. I know on other sites there are way too many people like that. On my car forum, they have a post whore friday/whatever day it is, and people jsut hammer away on their boards. Id rather see a functional shoutbox or something. but that would not be feesable until much larger.

First we need quality, then quantity.
just like working out. You want quality (good reps, lighter on reps maybe), rather than a bunch of sloppy reps, gonna hurt yourself.

yup

personally i think it is about how many post you have (if they have good content in them that is)...how is sleazy suppost to just give someone moderator rights when they arent nessarily here all the time to moderate or are on good terms with the other members of the board. how do i know what hes gunna bring to the table when hes made under 10 posts? quality...how has he proven to bring any quality to the board in his 4 posts? i mean really anyone can say that they can bring 500 people to the forums no offense to ttwarrior but doesnt anyone else find the request a little bit ridiculous

I wasnt stating ttwar is bringing anything to the table, I was just stating what a good mod should be. Understandibly, a mod is someone that is on the board regularly, but they dont have to have thousands of posts. ... maybe I just wanted another post. yup. peace out.

Im with verb on that one yea he doesn't need a ton of posts but he should first off show what he knows by helping in forums id rather have a moderator that I kno has knowledge. This month was kind of slow usually the top posters would have like 300+ posts more members would be better but under control so that it doesn't get out of hand.

well if you want 500 more people here just say so, will only do if if there is something in it for me. I have more posts on my yahoo groups in one day. I was hoping to but bodybuilding.com out of business. They want me to be a mod but looking at other options
