Default Finally hrdgain has returned to the gym

Thats right you fvkers I'm back hahah.

So here is the gym I joined last night
http://www.harborfitness.com/

It always makes me laugh going through the whole schpeal and sales pitch when you go to a new gym. I usually dont bother with those types of places, but there isnt much but that in NY.

So this guy is showing me around, and after the cardio room (which had some amazing talent) we head over to the tanning beds. He says "do you normally tan" I just chuckled, no dude not ever. We then ventured to the spinning room, the cardio kick boxing class, and the pilates room. The whole time all I could think was "were is the actually gym?" He did finally get around to showing me what I wanted to see.

I will say the free wieght room is awesome, DB's up to 150, and 2 or 3 sets of each DB. Multiple squat racks, and just about anything you can think of. The only problem is I really had to keep myself focused, there was so much going on in there, every three seconds there was another hottie walking by.

Oh and for the first day back in a few months things went very well. Started the Starr 5x5, nice an light, i cant wait to start really progressing again. I'm a little sore, and enjoying it today. I have to watch with the leg workouts though, I didnt realize till today just how many steps I climb from my place to work. I might have to get up earlier to get to work on time.

I was forced to join a similiar type gym Hrdgain, they basically did the same thing by showing me everything that I could care less about first. But location played a big factor in my decision since I wanted some place close.

Just watch out, the "talent" has a certain way of brainwashing you at these places. Before you know it you'll be doing pilates and bending your body over giant rubber balls.

Finally! Glad to have you back in the game bro! Nice gym too.

They tried the same pitch with me and about half an hour through the tour of everything but the weightroom I asked the broad to "just take me to the weight room...I don't care about elipticals and waterslides, I'm hear to lift heavy things and shower...thats it"....Yeah I'm an asshole

"NO, this is my squat rack. Go get your own!"

Man am I sore today, DOMS are a bitch.

yeah 0311 its actually pretty sweet, and I'm amazed at how cheap it is. Every other place I looked at in the city was between 100 and 120 a month or more. This is about half that.

Cant wait to dead lift today

Right on man, can't wait to see the progress

TALO's Sig:"But when do you actually grow? Well, we don't grow in the gym. In the gym, we destroy. We tear down the body. We only grow when we are recovering. That's right, I said recovery. I see it all the time--people beating themselves up in the gym and not seeing results. They don't understand that hitting the weights hard is only a small part of growing or even cutting down. I could train the same all year round and get big or get ripped just by eating different and taking different supplements"
