Default Hey guys

Sorry to all who saw what started off as a healthy debate turn ugly. I originally posted research about how much protein one can use per serving and listed 11 references. I happen to side with science and bodybuilding. So, I decided to leave and leave it alone. Well, the member (who is now banned) then decided to mock me and create a thread saying "farewell friend" He took one of my pm's to him and added a whole bunch of extra bits of his own in there to discredit me. I was still going to just say screw it and let it be, but a few hours later I saw that he wrote another 5-6 posts saying I did things that obviously I didn't. One of his allegations said that I was a "pseudo-moderator with the capability to log on as other users and post." I'm sure Sleazy can attest that I'm no moderator with 'fantastic four' super computer powers. Gimme a break. As the night went on it got worse when he called me a Nazi for serving my country and told me to go 'F' a goat. I did perpetuate the problem by responding saying, "Where's the proof" in reference to his opinions. My bad. By the end of the night, I logged on one more time hoping he would drop it and I saw he flooded every thread with my name again alleging I have 'super mod powers.' I'm sure a few noobs believed him, but his true colors came out and he got banned. The reason why he got banned and not me was because of him taking such extreme measures and profanity, with the icebreaker being the flood. Again, I just wanted to clear the waves of opinions everyone must have about the situation. I do take some of the responsibility for what happened, but in the end I was just defending my name and reputation. I also see Boxing Raven fell victim to that same banned member as well...So, it can happen to anyone.

glad to see it all straightened out... its a shame that things escalated the way they did ending up in the loss of a member, but no board needs someone that spreads lies and is generally disruptive

Just to clarify things so you all know where I stand in the future:

I saw this stuff going on between both members and honestly, didn't care. As long as it stayed to one thread I figured they could vent at each other and things could move on. I TRY MY HARDEST not to interfer by censoring people or the posts on this board as long as they are not disruptive to the site's main focus. I do not like babysitting or censoring members even when harsh things are being said as I have seen how censorship can escalate and basically ruin a forum. I ahve left many forums because of having the things I said be changed or edited by the mods/owners and don't want this to be one those places.

That being said, Taurus was banned because he flooded the forum. Of course this is against site rules and I consider it an attack against the forum, non excuseable. He then made aliases and made immature comments in alot of the threads further ruining the content. I did not "choose sides" but ultimately Taurus led himself to being banned by his own actions, not his comments or views.

So heres a smiley face to help everyone forget

Thumbs up Man...

Hey 0311, just for the record, I never thought you had super powers
(i'm the only one with super powers on here! *puts on batman cape and is promptly assigned to sleeping on the couch by wife...again*)

I'm still trying to figure out how I got involved in the mess.

There's a lot of testosterone flowing on this board, but...if it's any consellation (*sp), things get even crazier on the boxing website I post on sometimes. I've had death threats and racial insults posted at me, as well as in my email there. This place is much more calming.

I think the sooner we let it go and get over it...the better.

Hey Sleazy, I know it sounds like a pain in the @ss, but maybe deleting some of the horse crap would be benificial to new members. If I just started up here and those were the first few threads I read, I'd probably leave.

Just a suggestion,

Take it easy boys!
