| Rank: Bantamweight | Don't worry, this isn't for my homework or anything like that. It is a question from the Wonderlic test--the same one that the NFL players take at the scouting combine each year. Is there any algebraic way of solving this? All I could figure out is try to get it by process of elimination. In printing an article of 48,000 words, a printer decides to use two sizes of type. Using the larger type, a printed page contains 1,800 words. Using smaller type, a page contains 2,400 words. The article is allotted 21 full pages in a magazine. How many pages must be in smaller type? Here's a link to some sample questions from the test: http://espn.go.com/page2/s/closer/020228test.html |
