| ok... this always pisses me off, and i know that people do this intentionally but it just makes ZERO sense in my mind... when putting weights on the bar or on the rack. WHY do people stack 'em with the flat side OUT? the side with the words is inset a little so there is a "lip" on the edge that allows for easy one-handed removal from the bar/stack. probably 9/10x im getting weights off the stack some jackass has put it flat side out. so instead of just snagging a plate off with one hand, i then have to grab both sides of the plate and wiggle it off so that theres enough room between it and the next plate that i can even get a grip on it. REALLY gets on my nerves b/c people OBVIOUSLY rack 'em like that on purpose and it would be just as easy to rack it the other way and would make getting the weights off so much quicker. *i know... its a little detail but it's a pet-peeve of mine* |

Gender: | Words in, that's how you grab the plate and since I'm older than you my way is the right way. But the main thing that drives me nuts is when the plates aren't put away, or 45's are stacked on top of dimes or in the wrong place. |

Gender: | i must confess i usually stack the weight with the letters inside....but someone told me you should do it that way because of the different weight distribution...but i think its just bs i thought about it and its possible i guess? |

Gender: | I usualy do it words out.. except if there is a guy that is looking to use my bench or cage that I can't stand... like cell phone talkers.. I just leave the plates on...that way if they are on the phone they have to mess with their phone while trying to wiggle the plates out Last edited by ChinPieceDave667; 04-27-2005 at 09:01 AM. |
