Gender: | i afraid i am going to get weaker now,and i'm going to miss today's workout unless i try to lift anyway ,and on top of that i hurt my side i think i pulled something it hurts when i breath in . what should i do. |

Gender: | If you feel bad enough that you posted on it then your probably should skip it. On your side you probably went to heavy on something or you are not properly warming up. Play it by ear and see how you feel. Read the injuries sticky in case it's something serious you need to attend to. Get some rest and get better and I doubt you'll lose too much strength. Keep your eating up. |

| Moderator Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 7-10 Years | Damn, warming up is something I took for granted that everyone does. ![]() If you feel sick, don't workout. It won't kill you. Take me for example, I had a nasty stomach flu on Friday-Saturday, puking my guts out. On Saturday night I felt better, and on Sunday I felt good enough to hit the weights. Even though my muscles felt weak, I was still pushing the same heavy ass weight that I was pressing before I got sick. Now in my case, I WAS sick, bad. I didn't just feel sick. Chances are when you workout while sick, you'll have a shitty workout, then beat yourself up about how you didn't lift heavy enough and don't know why. |
