Thanks again everyone, I am definately looking forward to getting back to lifting, but its gonna be a while. Its amazing how much you want to go crazy on the Iron when you cant.

Once again thanks everyone, I really appreciate the kind words. The droning pain is pretty much gone now, and my range of motion is increasing. I have an appt tomorrow to see the ortho again, and get more xrays to make sure the gap is closing up correctly.

I know this wasnt smart but i had the yearly karate camp this past weekend, I over did it a little, but It was well worth it. You'll see what I mean in my other thread.

Glad to hear things are starting to improve. Don't overdo it.....at least not too much.

got some good news and some bad news today at the orthopedic.

The Good:

I'm healing very quickly, my range of motion and strength is very good for being only two weeks out from this type of injury. He cleared me to start lifting very light as early as tomorrow. I'm very happy with this even though I know I have lost a lot of upper body strength.

Bad:

Well, I'm deformed for life hahaha. The end of my clavical will be sticking up around the end of my trap for the rest of my life, its a big lump, and it becomes more apparent when i flex. I'm not too worried about it though, wounds heal, chicks dig scars.

There are actually two types of operations that could fix this. The first would be going in and re-attaching the tendon that snapped, putting the clavical back in place, the other would be going in and grinding the bone down so it doesnt stick up.

I'm not a big fan of going under the , and since I should regain 99% of my mobility and strength I see no reason to do it.
