This is a test given to some job applicants in japan. The object is to get all the people from one side of the river to the other. here are the rules:

1.the father can not be with the daughters without the mother.

2.the mother an not be with the sons without the father.

3.the thief (black stripes) cant be with any family member without the cop.

4.only two people on the raft at a time.

5.only the mother,father, and cop can operate the raft (one needs to be on the raft for it to move)

when you click on the link, click on the blue circle in the right corner to play.click on the people to move them on and off the raft, click on the red circles to move the raft.

It took me a good 15 minutes to figure it out, and yes it can be done. good luck.

well i am japanese..

and that took me like a good 40 mins

must be cause im only 1/4th. oh well. haha entertaining at least.

Took me about 8 minutes to figure it out.

I didnt time it, but it took me about 15min. or so.

the ending is a little disapointing, you'd think for all that work they would do something better.

yeah that little dance thing or whatever they do is pretty lame.

i also loved how the criminal just drop kicks them all in the face at least once throughout the game. haha

trippy little game. Took me about 10 mins to get it. But like before the ending was kinda lame.

there are a ton of these puzzles out there. there is one with a bunch of people crossing a bridge, but only two can go and only one flashlight; one that has a farmer moving sheep and wolves across a stream; one with a family crossing a stream, but only so much weight can be on the raft at the same time; etc.

Took me about 4-5 mins to get this one.
