New Job, New Problem
So I moved down to KC yesterday in order to start a new job. Well when I get all my stuff moved in I check my email and find out that my start date (next monday) has been pushed back two weeks. Turns out they were supposed to contact us a month ago so no one moved down here and had to take a financial hit. Well, that is exactly what is happening to me since they dropped the ball and forgot to contact me.
So now I get to do absolutely nothing for 3 weeks in town where I know absolutely no one. Kind of sucks since I was relying on meeting people at work. At least they are compensating me for a few weeks where I won't be working, but still not to the extent a regular paycheck would. No real point to this post, just wanted to rant a little  |
so basically you get a reduced pay but your not required to do any work, bad but not that bad lol go out places join a gym all of that stuff lol think of the bright side at least youll have a decent amount of time to settle in

Terry you might want to introduce yourself in the member introductions forum :)
Ya it doesn't sound that bad verbatim but it is going to be really boring and just ticks me off that they let me know 1 week ahead of time when I have been planning around this start date for 5 months. Corporate America: 1 Sleazy: 0 |
Find Noland Rd in Independence, MO on Friday night...tons of people go there to cruise and what not. Also, some businesses and what not in that area. BTW I loved KC when I lived there. And if memory serves me correctly there's a decent Gym on Noland Rd as well.

Thanks for the tip.
