If that's not taking all of Lyle M's stuff word for word to make a profit, then I don't know what the hell is.. Seriously, if anyone posts a thread asking wtf, please link it here so we can see!

Fixed.. Thanks SOS!

I thought it was just some jerk on the web ripping of Lyle. To find out that it's Cosgrove is a bit of a shocker.

hrdgain81 07-11-2008 06:38 AM

Wow, that is some shit. If I was lyle i would be very pissed, why the hell would Cosgrove think no one would notice that?

_Wolf_ 07-11-2008 06:52 AM

Wow....I really respected Cosgrove. I wonder why he would do this?

Darkhorse 07-11-2008 10:50 AM

Anuj, if anyone could post over at t-nation it would be you. :D Any chance you could entertain us?!

I found a thread in JP Fitness where an email Alwyn sent to Lyle is posted. The email also contains a mail thread from 2006 between Lyle and Alwyn. There are always two sides to a story.

I still think Lyle's right. The 2006 emails refer to permission granted for a different product.

^^ Personally I think its bullshit. How do you forget to cite something that was a blatant copy and paste, do you not proof read your own books?

On the other hand, if it was an attempt to plagarise there is no way he would be the blatant about it.

At my university, if you forget a citation like that (even by mistake) in undergraduate you almost guarantee yourself an F for that class. If you do that kind of thing in graduate studies, you can almost be certain you'll be booted from the program.

What Cosgrove did is not something taken lightly in the academic community. This could have serious consequences to the research he does in the future.
