Suggestions/encouragement

Hey guys. So i'm going to Montana and Wyoming with my dad and uncle for almost 2 weeks. I already feel like worthless crap when I miss a day of lifting now i'm going to be out of routine and diet for a couple weeks. I've been going hard now since january so I think it's time my body rests but i'm going to feel like crap. My dad has bought mostly healthy food tuna, chicken, wheat breads, etc. but i'm going to be completely out of element. Don't think i'll be able to find a weight room. Any suggestions to keep my mind at ease?

thanks!!

Yeh let me know i'll check it out...i leave tomorrow evening...all my friends i work out with just tell me to enjoy the 2 weeks off and hit it hard when i get back. I don't know if it's just a psychological thing or what both its worrying me. I feel guilty after a night of drinking beer let a long 2 weeks off. On a positive note, i will be doing a lot of hiking in the mountains.

I don't know if you need it, but I always figure that the best time to cut is when you can't get into the gym for an extended period. Like Pity said, the BW exercises can do a LOT to help you maintain.

I guess we could always afford to trim a little right? I'm going to try and stay on top of some pushups, pullups (if possible) and dips...any others come to mind? Should I try and spend an hr everyday doing the BW exercises or is that overdoing it?

If you're hiking, take a minute and find a tree branch. Pop up and do some pullups. You can do 1 set, then hike, do another one, rinse and repeat :D

You can also do squats, rows and military press with fallen tree limbs. Plus if there are any larger rocks you can do a variation of the atlas stones.

Tons of shit to do outdoors, and some of it can be just as tough (or even tougher) as in the weight room.

Mondays - back & bi's
Tuesdays - Chest and Tri's
Wednesday - Rest
Thursday - Shoulders
Friday - Legs
Sat & sun - Rest

All good suggestions thanks guys...i'm going to try and get as much in as I can...it's time I cycle off the creatine so this will be a good two weeks to do so. Hopefully my ass doesn't get mauled by a grizzly while doing pullups in the woods haha

p.s. thanks ross for the suggestion before about combining tri's and chest and bi's and back...it's helped a lot...i did bi's on monday and only did two exercises and it was a way better workout then when i had just a whole day of arms...i didn't do as much weight since they were worked from the pullups but im pleased with it
