| Rank: Bantamweight | I'm trying to put together a kind of summer reading list for myself. I have pretty much been reading biographies (Shultz, Einstein, Jack London) lately, and I'm thinking I want to shift to some fiction. Any thoughts on some good fiction to read? (And I've already read all the Ayn Rand stuff, so don't mention Atlas Shrugged et al) |

| I havent gotten to atlas shrugged yet, I really need more time to read in my life. Unfortunately the only things I currently read are computer programing books, health fitness stuff, and comic books ... I'm fairly sure most of that will be of no intrest to you Brad. Shouldnt you be reading up on putting weddings together? hahaha j/k |

Well, I've read all the Crichton, Ayn Rand, Hemingway, Tolkien and Tom Robbins. I was thinking of delving into Ulysses, but I think it may be too involved. I thought, too, in maybe re-reading the Shanara series by Terry Brooks. Or maybe finishing Vidal's historical series (I think I'm up to Empire or Hollywood). I still have Shelby Foot's Civil War on my shelf, but like I said, I want to read some fiction. | |

Some of these are too but a lot of stuff came to mind The Book Thief by Markus Zusak Hit Man / Hit List / Hit Parade - Lawrence Block, these were tons of fun to read, fiction lite but still enjoyable The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - Mark Haddon Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card Animal Farm by George Orwell A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis Feed by M.T. Anderson <---this is a GREAT read, check it out Slaughter-House 5 by Kurt Vonnegut Monster by Walter Dean Myers Brave New World by Aldous Huxley The Fallen Series by Tom Sniegoski |
