Things that annoy at the gym

Okay, so I am at the Gym last night and the owner is this self proclaimed power lifter guy who presumes to know everything about power lifting. Granted he may know more than me, but his arrogance really bothers me. Anyway, his group of work out companions are there for the typical Monday evening chest work out, decked out in their compression shirts, doing full sets of forced reps, hooting and hollaring and hitting themselves in the head, swearing out loud, and just acting like a group of idiots. I don't know why some people have to act like this when they lift but, IT'S REALLY aggrivating to me, I swear I wanna go and hit em. Is it just me? Do you get a better workout if you act like this? If so, I am giving up lifting now =P.Feel free to post your pet peeves beneath here. BTW, I meant no offense to anyone who trains like this, just venting my frustrations. ;-)

oh I totally do that.. I grab myself and tea bag the guy next to me while he's benching.:D .. j/k.. but that would be funny.

I hate that too. there is no reason to act like a total ass. It's one thing to get pumped up for a lift and being a little rowdy, but there is definitely a line.

Some people get really revved up by the hooting and hollering. Take a look at some of the powerlifting videos around the 'net. However, bothering other patrons is another matter. I am totally against that.

sometimes it cool but i think after a while it will get pretty annoying sometimes when i see someone else doing it, it gets me going but if everyone in the gym started to do it i think i would flip out

I can get a little loud when going heavy (big loud grunt). It sykes me out but I don't get all weird or anything.

My pet peeve are those stupid balls that lay around the gym. They don't even belong there. All they are for is kicking.

My Pet Peeve is if I'm doing incline, decline, or flat DB press, is when somebody walks in front of me and puts their weight back, sometime nudging my legs in the process. Annoys me so much

In my gym, the dumbbells are stored on the rack from lightest on the left to heaviest on the right. There are two incline benches, one on the left, the other on the right. I f'ing hate when some stupid chick or weak skinny **** decides to take the right one and do some 20 lb dumbbell curls. Then when I ask him to trade, they get up really slowly like it's such a hastle. Then I have to go on explaining why I'm not going to walk across the gym to get the 120's and lug them past 10 people when I could just grab them and sit down.

I hate that, and worse yet they put there weights back in the spot yours are supposed to go.

I really hate when people don't rack the weights when they are done. Sometimes I make myself a pain in the ass and go up to them and say "Gee, are you done with that bar? Yes? Okay, then. Don't interrupt your workout, I'll clear off the weights."

I have a million other pet peeves in the gym.

One is hot chicks. I have no rap, so I ain't gonna be talking to them. So all they do is distrract me. Nothing worse than dl'ing 300 and a piece of eye candy walks by ruining my concentration.

(and, no, I'm not gay. if i want to see hot chicks, I'll go to a club)
