Gender: | No spoilers here so feel free to read on ..... Has anyone else gone out and seen this movie yet? I saw it last night and I am going to come out and say it... I thought it sucked. The previews and trailers they airred prior to release show the few action scenes in the movie and don't show the other 2 hrs of boredeom. I went into the movie thinking it was going to be action packed with a really good plot. The plot was fairly good, but it was just too long and too tireseom (2 hrs 12 mins). If you like political inuendo that is laced with anti USA references to Bush, the Iraq war, Guantanomo Bay, then this movie is for you. They really play on the "government for the people" and "every person has a voice" idea, but there isn't much else to it really. If you see it let me know what you think, because it is getting good reviews on IMDB etc and I am wondering if I am just an ass |

| Rank: Bantamweight | The box office for this movie the first weekend sucked shit. I saw some reviews and I didn't like the anti-American-policy links. America: love it or leave it. Well, come to think of it, that's not right. If it was true, then most of Hollywood would have to make it's movies in Tehran or Pyongyang or Paris. It seems Hollywood isan't drawing the people in. Why is that? Crappy movies? Stale or rehashed plots? Other alternatives? Who knows. Sounds like a topic for the blog. Coming soon, my totally unscientific, unacademic look at Hollywood's woes... |
