Default Work Schedule

I was curious how everyone deals with their work schedule conflicting with their lifting schedule. Recently I have been employed for a full time job (first actual job). Usually it will run into the time of the day I have the most energy. Just wondering what everyone does finding time.

When I work I go before work, ie. 6am

When I'm at school I go whenever I have enough time to get a workout in(or skip class to make time, but that is an entirely different issue here )

Moral of the story: Work pays, gym gets paid. I sure as hell don't wanna wake up at 5am to get to the gym for 6, but thats the sacrifice I'm making.

If your serious you will fit it in where ever you can, whether thats early morning or late night. Some people go to the gym during lunch, shower up, and come back to work so anything is possible.

When I worked out at weird hours I found the key to keeping my energy up was A) plenty of sleep and B) adjusting your meals based around when you train. Preperation is half the battle, eventually your body will adjust to its new schedule so just fit it in when ever you can.

My issue is getting my meals in, I seem to always have time for the gym. I am not like most college boys gym always gets priority over social activities.

I have a flexible job in which I set my hours and shifts, so I tend to have time for gym.

If only there was 30 hours in a day lol But seriously im glad everyone have found a way that works for them.

Isn't sensible to put lifting infront of work even though we would rather be doing one than the other.

Hmm my work does have a fitness center although i think its all pussy equipment...cardio...etc. Nothing dealing with weights.

Default Making it happen..

I'm constantly thinking about the future and where I want to be as i'm entering college. To me, i messed up highschool in the sense of academics - where i could have done a lot better and quitting sports for the most part. I found working out through it though. I want to feel comfortable around my gf with my shirt off and unfortunately i dont right now..and she has a pool and summer is coming ahhh and my gf is hot blah!! haha um..i know i want to pursue bodybuilding and getting "cut" and getting the abs..all that good stuff. Sometimes i feel like its impossible when my mom cooks shit and brings home tacobell all the time. its so annoying. I want to succeed in this field, but I need some guidance i think. Im going to school and then working 30 hours a week or more "part time" and im 18. the money is nice, but i'm not getting my priorities straight. anyone who can give me advice would be appreciated. thanks

I've done it differently at different times. Sometimes i hit the gym before work, but I'm not a morning person, so that is usually a no go, my workouts suffer cause i'm not focused. Its not bad going over lunch, but timing is a bitch. My old boss would let me take an hour an a half, then i'd stay an extra hour. Now I workout after work, which sucks too, since i dont get to the gym till 7:30 to 8 but you gotta get it in, so go what ya gotta man.
