As an example, and I recognize that you don't want to hear my life story... but this fits, I was training Olympic lifts last night. I met with the assistant coach of the local weightlifting club. No shlub, the club has national competitors in olympic lifting. So I had the right person watching me and guiding me, in person. Even so I still managed to screw up a couple cleans and catch the bar in painful places. Had a couple snatches that were out of whack too, causing me to fight to get control of the bar. As a result I'm a little banged up, and not just DOMS. The weights were not maximal, as I was only working on form tweaks. Granted the lifts are pretty technical, but crap happens. Quote:

| Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 3-5 Years | Beginning Thoughts: My entire posterior chain is sooo sore today I am surprised I was able to even lift the barbell for Deadlifts. In other news...Hancock releases today and although I do not have high hopes for this movie, I do predict it to be better than Wanted. I am gonna go see it tomorrowWorkout: Started off with 5x5 on Broad Jumps...these were kinda hard actually. I don't know the distance I jumped but I did try to jump the most I could.Overall Impression: I hope everyone is having a good week so far |

| Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 3-5 Years | i bet i fuck up on the FIRST rep lol.... nah...i'm gonna get those yoga mats, and use them as bumpers ![]() so when i drop the weights, they won't destroy the concrete floor. although its funny...my gym is located on the 5th floor of a huge building. i wonder which genius thought that lifting up there would be the best idea for stability. stupid civil engineers. |

In terms of gyms...no no difference. I cant answer this question without qualifying certain things...I'm from Bombay. This is not India. We don't really care about the rest of India very much. 80% of India's GDP is earned by Bombay alone. 7th largest city in the world. It's a lot like New York in terms of Public Transport but looks-wise it's like LA. I love Bombay (3rd generation born and raised there). We function very different in Bombay....women & men are more or less equal, women can do whatever they want....it's a very safe city....It has the most number of millionaires and billionaires per squat foot so you'll have a multi-millionaire's huge mansion neighbouring a poor man's apartment....it's very diverse. People come in from all over India and so there is no "orthodox" society...night clubs are fucking amazing..much better than San Antonio lol. It's a great city...I can put some cool pics if you like | |
