Yeah, about chest/neck level.

ME BENCH:

Great day. Since I built up to a new 1 RM during my DE BENCH day, I decided not to push the envelope today. The 405 lb bench was only 3 days ago.

2 Board Presses:

225 x 5
275 x 3
315 x 2
345 x 1
365 x 1
385 x 1 (no problem)

DROP SETS- 315 x 5, 275 x 5

ME Triceps: 4 Board Presses: I wanted a lot more work done (volume) with these.. 275 x 5, 335 x 5, 355 x 4

Pendlay Rows: 275 x 3 x 8
Hammer Strength Overhead: 210 x 3 x 10
Face Pulls: Stack x 3 x 10
Biceps ss w/ 20 rep banded pressdowns

Yes sir. People have more info than they know what to do with. This is why when people come on and say, I've been doing so and so and gotten great results, but....I usually say what have you been doing exactly and where are the problems. Usually only a couple of changes may be necessary. But most other people tell them to go look at the "ultimate program sticky'

If you act sanctimonious I will just list out your logical fallacies until you get pissed off and spew blasphemous remarks.

lol, that's ok. It's only my opinion, after all and I understand it. I tend to think it adds to this problem of people contiually "picking" random programs rather than learning and growing from what they do. Also to this myth that you should change programs in a certain time frame for no other reason than to "shock" you muscle. Personally, I use bad language to do that. My muscles are very prudish .

Sorry to hyjack you journal 0311! Looking good. I can't do pendlay rows right now coz they've gotten so heavy they really agravate my back. I'm jealous.

ME SQUAT/DEADLIFT:

Fucking woke up too late! I woke up at 1 pm instead of 12 pm, meaning that I had to rush through my workout to make it home in time to take a shower and leave for work...

To noone's surprise, I still went. Got there at 1:30, meaning I had 40 minutes to get 'er done.

A2G Front Squats: 185 x 5, 225 x 5, 275 x 3, 315 x 1, 355 - miss. I was going pretty fast through all this with about a minute between sets. Sometimes it was a walk to the water fountain and back for another set. The 315 was easy though, and the 355 was a barely missed new PR, which can be easily attributed to rushing my dumbass through the workout at warp speed. No DROP set today..

Conventional deads I went lighter because I was still in the mental fog of waking up and lifting within 10 minutes of each other. Did a bunch of sets working up to 475 x 1. Nothing special..

Pullthroughs (190 x 3 x 12) ss w/ weighted hypers (40 x 2 x 10) followed by 2 x 20 banded abs pulldowns.

Well, I bought some Vitargo and another 5 lbs of micellar/egg white from trueprotein.. That protein blend has been a lifesaver lately as I've been pretty reliant on it because I'm on the go so much. Also got another bottle of fish oil from Wal-Mart of all places...

As a personal preference, I prefer the Pure Vitargo over TP's economy version because it's so much easier to pour in my water bottle quickly. TP's still gets stuck all over my hands/shorts so I walk into the gym looking like I just got done at the bakery....

Starting on Thursday, I'm back to some RE BENCH for another 2-3 weeks. Should be fun for a change, although I prefer speed work since it's less overall work, and I can incorperate some DB work. 5 x 5 bench takes a while longer, especially combined with some standing OHP work. I think I'll start off lighter with OHP's and build back up from there. My goal at the end of my DE workouts (week 6) I should be at 210-215 for 3 x 5 strict OHP's.

----

My gym seems to accomodate my workout days for Xmass week. If I have to miss a day or two, then I'll just tweek my schedule for a deload week. I'll probably hit up 2 ME days with slashed volume, then 2 RE days with some really high rep/low weight work. We'll see....

RE BENCH:

Started back up my 5 x 5 bench with 295 lbs (vs. 285 before). It was fucking easy. This time I took exactly 3 minutes rest per set vs. before just going within 2 minutes or so. Who would've thought?!

Strict OHP's I kept 195 for 3 x 5 and completely owned it. Super form, strong all over. Kept 3 minutes per set, which again, definately helped. Usually I'm rushing through like a Next week I'm increasing bench to 305 and OHP's to 205. My goal after week 3 is to have a new 5 x 5 max of 315 lbs. Booyah?

Weighted Pullups: 40 lb DB x 2 x 5. Really strong today on these. * On a side note, if someone's trying to increase strength, this exercise will definately increase PULLING POWER better than any machine. LOL... Just gonna have to take my word for it... There's nothing better than to load up a lot of weight between your knees, deadhang between each rep, and kick some ass...

- Pulldowns: 240 x 2 x 10 super wide
- Chest-Supported Rows: 320 x 3 x 10 (3 plates/25 per side)
- Incline Curls ss w/ Tate Presses (haven't done these in ages!)..
45 lb DB's for both exercises, 3 x 10 per.. Tate presses rock for triceps.. I'm gonna start doing a lot of these.

Ended my workout with 2 x 15 side laterals (40 lbs).

I guess everyone still remembered the 405 press last week because I had a hundred questions about what I do in a day, what's my schedule, why do I think a 5 day split sucks, do I juice.. You fucking name it! It was a good thing for me because it motivated me to push harder, and more importantly, it forced me to rest between sets.

Yeah, I got some inspiration from this forum. Since some people never remember how many times I've said it, I figured I might as well sig it. LMAO!
