The only thing I could think of for the crash was the total "all out" effort I put into the front squats. That was the first time I used them and went very heavy for a few sets of 10. Other than that, nothing else comes to mind. |

| Moderator Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 7-10 Years | Rest of my week went great. Diet has been perfect all week. Weighed in at 242 this morning, which is the LOWEST I've been in probably the past two years. Very happy thus far lopping off my love handles.. All the while increasing my strength. I'm gunning for 350 x 3 bench pressing next week which will be a new 3 RM for me, especially while cutting. This upcoming week I'll be hitting some RM's (1-3) so that'll be cool. After that, I'll be increasing the tempo bigtime for the next month. A perpetual 2 on, 1 off schedule which is new to me. I'm used to 3-4 days off from the gym per week, so my peaking next week will have lower volume as well so I can deload fully before my next month of slaying myself. |

| Moderator Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 7-10 Years | So far so good. I missed a lower day on Friday, so I made it up yesterday. 99% of the time, if I miss a day, it's gone forever. This was a 1% senario because of how my workout days are scheduled. It allows for shifting things around. Plus, today is my last hardcore day before I hit some RM's starting Monday. Nothing special yesterday aside from a major PR for SLDL's, hitting a few sets of 5 with 405 pretty easily at the END of my workout. Very happy about that, considering how many sets of squats I did previously. Box squats are the strongest they've ever been.. IMO, they've always been, but yesterday I lifted at the END of my day where I'm at my best vs. waking up and lifting within 30 minutes of each other. Bearing that in mind, hopefully I'll be able to work my RM's in at night because the difference in strength/motivation is fucking vast indeed! ![]() |

| Moderator Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 7-10 Years | Finished out my strength phase.. Had a lot of fun! Increased my squats to 465 x 1 fairly easily. Could've done another 10-20 more pounds if I had a spotter near me! I just didn't want to fail and look like a douchebag dropping the weight on the catch bars. I'm kinda pissed actually that I didn't find anyone. 5 wheels per side will definately happen next strength phase. One thing I noticed with my squats is that I'm stronger with my feet closer in. I just don't like wide stance. Probably carryover from all the O squats I've done over the past few years. What sucks is that by having my feet closer, I need to squat a greater distance. In any event, I still nailed it going about a few inches below parallel. Bench press is strong as always. Hit a max triple of 350 lbs. Last rep was pretty tough though. I'm not doing an "official" max testing week next week because I'm focused more on losing the weight. If I did the 2 days in the gym to see where I'm "really" at with true 1 RM's, my diet would turn to complete shit... Which isn't something I want. If I was bulking, I'd be all for a max week, but I know how I am and diet's the hardest part. Maybe after my next strength phase I'll do a testing week. I'll be looking forward to passing past the 500 mark with deadlifts. Three weeks ago I was hitting 455 for 3 sets of 3 w/ just a belt. 'Bout fucking time! |

| Moderator Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 7-10 Years | Thanks for stopping by! 242 lbs. Gonna drop A LOT more since I officially started my cardio today. I'm pretty upset that I haven't done it in so long because of how great it makes me feel... No bullshit! Start small.. Finish big. |

| Moderator Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 7-10 Years | ^^ Thanks man! Cardio's been consistant as well as my diet. Therefore, I still am progressing along. Training wise I'm always increasing something albeit reps or weight. |

| Moderator Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 7-10 Years | Update: After today I'll be done with another tough hypertrophy phase. I took some measurements to see where I'm at after 3 months. The biggest increase is obviously my legs/glutes.. Obvious because my legs weren't up to snuff doing Westside, essentially doing 1 RM's one day, then speed days later in the week. So going from that to doing somewhere around 100 reps in a day HEAVY can certainly inflate my wheels. Another thing I noted on was that my calves grew an inch and a half even though I haven't worked them in two months, meaning the amount of effort I poured into my compounds (especially deads and squats) have signaled a nice growth response for my entire body... Well, that and doing some high intensity cardio for the first time in like 3 years LOL.. ---- For my chest and arms, I'm close to the max on these. Any extra growth is a huge success for me since they're already big. Chest: + 3/4 -> Need another 1/4 to hit 51 inches Arms: + 1/4 -> Need another 1/4 to hit 20 inches Quads: + 2.0 -> VERY happy/not surprised Glutes: + 1.5 -> *Borat voice* Very Nice.... Calves: + 1.5 -> I'm guessing it has a lot to do with cardio |
