DE Bench Day

Cold smoked the bench today!!, speed was great, did my 9 sets of 3 grips and then moved to dumbell JMs, I do these with a single spinlock dumbell and do a normal JM press, it works great and I use more weight cos I dont have to try balance a damn barbell.Finished with Hammer grip pullups, I did sets of 6 with 30 secs between sets, lats pumped up awesome!!

DE Bench 3?/2/09
Bench 9x3 55kg
DB JMs 4x8 35kg
HG Chins BW 5x6 (30 secs between sets)

Good day.

Hey Riddick

I am sitting at about 240-250lb bench, 350lb squat and pulled 401lbs (sumo).Bench has gotten tricky to move but we will see.

holy shit Hops! awesome progress!!

how about bodyweight, measurements, etc, etc. i havent seen any recent posts that stated your goals so i dont know if you're still going for size, strength, cut, none/all of the above?

regardless you've come a long way from the glorious HIT days!

it's funny, i think back to when we both ditched HD because of lack of progress and everyone was telling us "you're not doing it right!" or "You dont understand the theory" as if it's some uber-complex thing that only a select few can grasp and apply yet here you are with like triple the totals you had back then, ME days, DE days speed sets etc etc etc, but i guess HD is SO complex that you just couldnt understand it right?

good work my friend!

Haha thx Riddick!! You are right tho, there is nothing uber complex about doing 1 set of 1 exercise, "resting" a week or 2 from said exercise, detraining so fucking badly it makes me cry when I think about it and then repeating the whole cycle again!!

simply great work Hops, like i say, you're an inspiration!!!

yeah that whole "one set per exercise then sit on your ass for a week" thing seems pretty ridiculous at this stage of the game. i find it ironic that the routine that Mentzer put forth that has a person in the gym once a week or even less is called the "ATHLETE'S Routine!!
