I dont know that I agree with "slamming" the head down hard or anything, but raising the head and following the bar with my eyes just seems to help me keep a good bar path.I dont see it as dangerous if its controlled.

If some forum "bro" were to write that very same thing as his own and post it as an article on forums strength coaches would flame his ass from here to kingdom come. But Simmons writes it and it's "better not say anything wouldn't want to lose an endorsement" or get blacklisted by WS.

I can definately see your point Eric.I remember reading a squat article by Robertson.His words were along the lines of "I am not an advocate of any round back training etc etc" when he probably wanted to write round back lifting is the stupidist fucking thing you could do in the gym,DONT DO IT........... EVER!!!!!!!

robertson did have a good article on how the reverse hyper shouldn't be used for back rehab. i wonder how that was received...

DE Squat Day

Blue bands again this week this time I worked up before speed work.Hit a pretty big PR of 122.5kg + the bands were much tighter than previous.Moved to flags next and then finished with High rep RDLs.

DE Squat Day 2/10/09

Box Squat + Blue Bands
1x1 100kg
1x1 110kg
1x1 122.5kg (PR)
6x2 80kg (Lower Box TNG)

Dragon Flags
3x9 BW

RDLs
Sumo 1x20 60kg
Conv 1x20 60kg Easy more wieght next time

DE Bench Day

Had a toughie today, deload is needed and thats what this week will be.Just barely missed a 115kg 3 board.Moved to speed work after and still no feel good, wrists yelling at me.So I just repped out with 60kg on the bar, I got 18 RP.Moved to tris and lats to finish.Still a solid workout I guess, looking forward to a cruise.

DE Bench Day 4/10/09

3 Board Med Grip
1x3 90kg
1x2 100kg
1x1 107.5kg
1xM 115kg
2x3 95kg

Speed Bench
6x3 50kg (alternated with 2 Board)

Bench
1x 12+5 RP 60kg

Cable Rows
107kg 30 reps?

JMs
6x5 30kg

Done! I was nicely swole up after the benching for sure, I have def put on some size recently.
