Gender: | Let me say this again: To me it doesn't matter what you MEANT. Deweighting and deloading are not the same. Period. It's not a "whatever" situation. That is what I was clearing up. You still seem to be mixed up thinking that anytime you don't put down a weight you are using "momentum". It has nothing much to do with it. It's just a TIME thing. Deweighting the bar on the floor just mean you'll need less ENDURANCE. Momentum we know is not really the right word but here we are talking about an elastic spring response of the muscles and not a cheating movement. The pont being when you try other stuff you don't always have to put it one the floor and with rows variety is best. Don't get me wrong, Pity, you do a good job on rows. Gender: | Oh give me a break. I just asked you to backup a statement is all. It isn't personal. I'll be happy to stay completely out of the journals if people are going to be sensitive about it. The only reason I responded again was the whole deload/deweighting and "letting go of the bar" making it sound like it's a meaningless distinction. Listen, if someone wanted me to back up things I say, all they have to do is ask. It's not my fault if they don't. |

Gender: | Very nice. Interesting about the tight pec minor. That is similar to what I was saying to you as well, Marv about the scapula although I was talking about it from a setup and technique standpoint rather than a muscular restriction and inneficiency one. Cressey is a man whose words you can take to the bank. Should probably dig up some more articles like this so that people would have more to go by than just Pendlay and Rippetoe. |
