hey HH, this is funny but i had the same thing happen to me about a half hour ago!
I got my squat and bench reps but missed 2 reps on the last set of chins, lol!
i had a pretty rough day at work, moving and setting 30lb blocks for about 4 hours (256 of them!!) so i felt a bit spent and my hands were really tired.

anyway my point is (yeah i have one, lol!) not to let it get ya down cuz we all have "off" days!

very true. take today for example: i just didnt go to the gym. i should have. i was supposed to. but instead i took my usual 30 minute nap from 8:30 to 9:00 pm (i workout at 9:30 pm) and then decided to extend it till 10:30 so when i did wake up, i didnt feel like lifting at all. pretty cool, huh? probably not. now i feel like shit for missing my workout. however, the sleep was definitely worth it!

Hi fellas

Im not stressing it too much, but my sleeping patterns have been thrown to shit lately, makes any session just that little bit tougher.Might start upping cals a bit too, start aiming for shorter carb cut offs, Ill stick with this damn cardio though.

Sup Yall

Man what I wouldnt give for some sleep!! I aint slept properly in days and its kicking my ass.Did light day today, squats were easy, Press felt great but I dropped 2 reps I got a vid here so let me know my form errors.I know I suck hard at these but go easy on me Im sensitive LOL
Deadlifts felt ok I gotta bad habit of taking the quads out of the movement and straightening out the legs a bit too quickly. It was only really my workset where it happened.Im going to start doing VERY light deadlifts everyday to get my damn body used to the movement, and try to teach myself to hold form on heavy sets. The worst thing is knowing I could have had another 10 or 15 lbs on that bar if my form was just a bit tighter. GRR

Light Day 24/10/07
Squat 2x5 76kg
Press 3x5,4,4 38.5kg POO!
Deadlift 1x5 122.5kg

OK heres my light squats
Figured Id up them just cos I had the vid!!

And Press

HH-
i watched all your squat form vids on youtube and i can clearly see vast improvement in your form as well as a distinct shrinking of your stomach region ;-)
question; why do you step so far away from the rack pins??

press looks good to me as well.

get some sleep will ya!!!!!!

Hi guys

Performance day today, all was ok but not great.I hit my previous 2rm on squats for 4 reps, but I had a little too much forward lean. Not horrible GMs but my hips were firing slightly faster than my shoulders and it was making that bar creep forward a tad.I hit a PR on bench but once again only got 2 reps.I hit all 5 reps on chins,so a new rep PR there.

Performance Day 26/10/07
Squat 1x4 102.5kg (Rep PR)
Bench 1x2 82.5kg (PR)
Chin 1x5 17kg (rep PR)

Question, is my progress on bench acceptable? do I need to adjust anything yet to move a bit faster? I wanted 3 reps today but it was no go.

Hey Hops how about moving to 5x5 to push performance day. This might help you to get things moving. If this is to much volume at this stage maybe 3x5. The Squats looking good I have yet to film myself, I would love to see my technique. Remember to keep tight and push the ass out. I can see your using hip drive, it looked a little like your weight was shifting on your feet a couple times, remember to keep the weight centered over your feet. Very good mate. This is coming from someone who never gets to watch anyone Sqaut properly or have anyone give him critique.I will have to get some footage of myself I have no idea how my form looks. I know sometimes I pull down on the bar if the going gets tough.

Marv.
