I did these workouts on May 3rd and 4th. Work has been hectic lately and I haven't had much spare time pretty much eat, sleep, work so my journal has been put on the back burner kind of.

I haven't been able to hit the gym this week. My routine for the summer is wakeup 5:30am, gym by 6-6:15, work from 7:30am til 7pm, eat, sleep, repeat. However, allergies (which I haven't had til now) are kicking into high gear. I wake up congested, with sinus pressure and sometimes a good sized headache. Its hard enough to get out of bed let alone hit the gym and generate my usual intensity. I'm hoping I'll be able to start up again next week and hit some weights close to what I did last week. I'm still eating like a horse and getting enough rest, I just can't pull it together for an early morning lift (nighttime is out since I'm gassed from working all day).

Well, as usual, once my allergies cleared I got some sort of stomach bug. Fun times. I spent last sat, sun, mon, tues cuddling with my toilet. I haven't been to the gym since my last entry (nearly 2 weeks) and in those 4 days I managed to go from 191lbs to 166lbs. Yep I lost 25lbs. I'm feeling better now but my strength and appetite are at an all time low.

I'm going to be hitting my routine even harder and adjusting my diet so I can make the gains I was hoping for.

Wow, 25lbs is alot man....Hope you feel better. All in All it shouldn't take much to get that weight back, once you start keeping foods in.

TALO's Sig:"We only grow when we are recovering.I see it all the time people beating themselves up in the gym and not seeing results. They don't understand that hitting the weights hard is only a small part of growing or even cutting down. "

That sucks man. That kind of illness can be really catabolic. A lot of it may be water, though. I have found that when I'm having trouble keeping much down I can get a way with sipping on a whey isolate. Something like X-tend may also be a good thing. Just to sip on it constantly. It can make a big difference.

Good luck.

EricT's Sig:I'm tired of the myth that bb'rs aren't flexible. As a group, they are extremely flexible. They have an amazing ability to bend over, place their heads between their legs, and blow smoke up their own asses.

Totally sucks bro.. You were probably extremely dehydrated which could account for a lot of your weightloss.

Thanks guys! I'm set to begin bouncing back on monday. I went to the gym today to get a feel for what my strength is and ,although its down by quite a bit on my heaviest lifts, I'm confident it won't take long to get back to where I was. Appetite is back as well so let the games begin.

Default Update

Well boys and girls. I've been struggling to do a proper run of DFHT. The most I ever did was 3 straight weeks of loading and then things went to shit. Mostly allergies are the culprit, they really drained me. I haven't kept my journal up because it seemed like everytime I posted something, the routine got setback or something happened to keep me out of the gym...so I stopped haha.

Right now I'm at a lean 175lbs and strong as a fucking ox. Since I'm not pleased with DFHT I'm going to switch back to my old buddy DF 5x5. Its short and sweet workouts so even with no energy I can still squeeze out the short volume of a workout. I will be keeping a journal on this run of DF, just to help keep my motivation up (although thats not usually a problem for me)

I'm going to follow my usual template for DF 5x5. What else can I say....except, LET THE FREAKSHOW BEGIN!
