Good choice, I think you'll be happy with that. I was looking over it and saw a very decent overlap of muscles worked which will help make the program more successful (such as deadlifts for back work legs, or close grip bench for triceps also works the chest/delts). If going to the gym four times a week conflicts with your schedule, then I could see you pairing muscles so it's every other day like the program I did, weekends off. Looks like fun bro...

Default The End of OVT

Alright boys and girls...I put an end to OVT today .
Summary of OVT:
2 Blocks:
Block 1 Jan 4-06 to Feb 15-06
Block 2 Feb 28-06 to Mar 13-06
Total time: 8 weeks with Deload during Feb 15th to Feb 28th

Starting weight: 167lbs
Weight at finish: 179lbs

Significant gains in strength, mass and size. Significant increase in performance for all big compounds, with gains from 25-70lbs (bench and deadlift)

Overall I am extremely happy with this program, IMO it works and yields great gains. It is hard to get used to at first, but once you get the tempo down and find your weights, it is a very nice program. Major difficulty was using multiple equipment for the supersets, availability was an issue at times. If I were to do this program over I would do 2 5-week blocks with a one week deload between and keep both blocks the exact same in terms of exercises. IMO I made my biggest mistake when I switched up the exercises. In doing so I was forced to "start over" and find maxes for new exercises. Keeping the same exercises would have allowed me to continue with maxes that I had already established and would have made my progression more efficient.

I would recommend this program to anyone

I am moving on to a variation of Needsize's 5x5 and will detail it in a new journal.
