Gender: | Knees ever hurt before? Ghr's cause a little knee discomfort at first...ghetto ghr's anyway. One reason why I told you to build up very slowly. Sorry to hear about the ear infection. Hope it doesn't hurt too bad. |

Gender: | Where is the knee pain then? Behing the knee cap or what? My general recommendation would be to get off of squats for a bit...or cut down frequency and do step ups for a little while. Also anderson step ups can help. It's a guess but that will probably get your knee back in line. Also things that may need to be stretched: the iliotibial band, hamstrings, and calves. This is by no means meant to be comprehensive or for sure...it's just some things that can help but I can also feel pretty sure won't hurt. Sinlge leg stuff in general, btw, can help get the knees better but when mine are acting up I generally go to step-ups and it fixes things right up...but I do step-ups and sinlge leg stuff and the right stretches so I don't really HAVE any knee pain to speak of anymore aside from the occasional ache when I mess up dong power stuff. |

| Rank: Middleweight Experience: 1-2 Years | i have heard about those candles...i think it may be time to give it a shot...i've had ear problems for years...had them shot out with hot water...picked out....used peroxide....you name it. definitely gonna look up the candle thing now though... knee pain is behind the knee cap and right above it...they feel better today...i may try some step ups friday...i always stretch ham/calves before and after workouts...but maybe i'll try that other big word you used that started with "i" |

Gender: | Stretching hams may be good if they are tight. But for this kind of knee pain a quad stretch is probably in order plus the calves and iliotibial band (just rolls off my keyboard ). Step ups help to get the VMO which helps keep the knee cap moving in line and not being pulled to one side so that is very helful. And step ups are just cool anyway. Try to go at with the platform or whatever being at a height that gets your thigh about parallel. That'll give you a pretty neutral affect in terms of hams/quads but will still do the quad thing (VMO). |

| Rank: Middleweight Experience: 1-2 Years | 2/27/08 probably should have not worked out today...but i only did two things...rest of the night is rest time...and i think if i do anything friday...it'll be step ups....and then i will sleep the weekend away and take drugs. deads -70 x 5 -120 x 3 -170 x 1 -200 x 1 -220 x 1 (pr) -230 x 1 (pr) -240 x 1 (pr) -250 x 1 (pr) incline bench - found 5RM - 130 x 5 fucking pumped about deads. fucking....really pumped. best friend since childhood is wanting to lose some weight...so i are helping him set up a diet plan. he's not going to do any weight stuff...just cardio 3-4 times a week...but his diet is complete shit. we were the same size our whole life until he got married. computer job + wife that loves to cook = gaining 60 pounds....he's sitting at 210 right now. so i get to pay some shit forward...fun times. |
