Thanks Iron Worker.
I have trained on and off over the years. Before starting the Texas Method I used a very poor HIT routine for about a year. I was only training once a week. I had no conditioning. So I was pretty much starting from scratch after reading Ripptoe on the Texas Method. Starting Strength really got me on the right track.
Hey Hopper,
Im interested in this dynamic effort stuff too. I might give it a try this week instead of PR's. Thanks mate.

Yeah it was so humid yesterday, but it pissed down in a major way.
It was abit wet today also. The dynamic stuff was a nice change on thursday. I really didnt feel like lifting heavy and it was good to try something new.

Sunday 22nd Dec
Volume Day

Squat 145kg 5x3
Bench 117.5kg 3x2 1x1
Chins 22.5kg 2x5 1x4, BW 1x9
Grip Work 85kg 3x5

Squats are still moving. The new rep scheme 5x3 and the dynamic work on thursday seems to have helped there. I was very happy about that. Bench is not as easy to move, however I made 3x2 today. 1 more rep than last week. I was hoping to get 4x2. I will try again next week. Hopefully more dynamic bench work will get things going. I didnt do rows today, one of the tendons or ligaments in my left elbow keeps getting agrivated by them and the power cleans I tried the other day. I have a new memory card for my camera, so some vids will be coming sooon.......

Sweet lifts Marvrock

Glad the speed work is helping so far.Question, are you speed squatting off a box or still just free standing squats?

Also just an observation, your bench volume day seems to lack Volume! I mean 7 reps isnt alot of volume. Please feel free to tell me to STFU, but maybe a little less weight and more reps migh be just the ticket?? dunno mate good lookin workout anywayz.

Looking forward to some vids too mate.

There just standard speed squats at this stage. I have never done box squats. Yeah I was thinking the same thing with bench, not much volume there. I might lighten up a little and aim for atleast triples. Thanks Hopsky.

Thursday 27th dec
Dynamic Day (PR)

Squat and Bench done with 60sec between sets.

Squat 77.5kg 10x2
Bench 60kg 10x3
DeadLift 95kg 12x1
Chins 22.5kg 3x5
HangLegRaise 3x10
Calve Raise 420lbs 3x5

Enjoying this speed work nice change from the PRs. Bench felt great today. I did 12 speed deads with 30sec rest between each rep does this sound right to you guys? Missed the recovery session on christmas day.
