I've only deadlifted with a belt and breifs and it hurts too. I find it pinches and hard to breath. So I'm working on my raw for as long as possible with that.

Squatting with gear is great , by far you have the most stuff on with briefs, suit and wraps. Makes it hard to move until you get under the weight.

But no of it is comfortable and you will always walk away with war wounds

Jan 28th

Squats ( Box 1" above par )

Worked up to 495lbs with belt only

Put on knee wraps and suit.

555 x 1 (3/4)
585 x 2 (3/4)
605 x 4 (3/4) had a spotter for this so I blasted out 4 reps !

Videos will be posted tomorrow. The last 3 heavy sets were only 3/4 squats . Trying to get use to the weight. I will be doing 3/4 squats from now on when I'm alone. Feels safer and I can get my strength up this way.

Didn't have time to do anything else. I will be doing some band work at work tonight.

Here is the 1/4 squat for 605lb. Takes awhile to get going as I figured I would grab a spot . Even with the safety bars there I was worried about getting one. The power of the spotter , I hit 4 of them !

Damn look at that rack shake when you racked that bar!! Would it even support 600lbs if you had to dump it?

Nice bench workout Alot.

Got tris!!

Thanks. Yeah we thought it was going to buckle
I'm starting not to like the rack since I've been using the mono lift. It takes alot of a guy just walking it out.

You have a mono? Can I borrow it? We're trying to get one at our gym. The height range in our group is 5'6" to 6'4"...and the safety aspect is nice, especially with chains. Too bad they cost at least $4,000. For big gym lifts like Pat's 1015 squat a couple of weeks ago, the guys always drive 45 min to a gym with a mono.

They're great! We just got it about 4 weeks ago. The one guy i train with bought it will his own money , cost him $1600 used ! It's the same one they used in the Worlds two years ago in Calgary . So we know it will hold over 1100lbs Not that anyone at my gym can do that, yet.
