Gender: | I think push pressing helps me becuse it gets the bar up far enough that when my shoulders kick in and press I'm not in a weird position, like i feel I am in a strict military press. However, I can see them being problematic if you have a bad shoulder since they impose a lot of different forces (lots of dynamic and jarring forces) on the shoulder girdle. If your shoulder is fine, then perhaps none of that matters and you grow stronger. With my lower back, an injury I got from moving into my house in Connecticut, I never feel right doing DL's. So much so that I've considered just how much they REALLY help me. I get pulling practice from farmers walks or rack pulls, but how much does a DL from the floor really matter to me? I like to do them, but the more I think on it maybe the answer is that they aren't that necessary at all as I can cover my gaps through other exercises. Maybe your shoulder will be the same way? |

| Moderator Rank: Light Heavyweight Experience: 7-10 Years | Ross, I remember you're looking for wrist wraps. I just bought a medium pair from APT dirt cheap. http://www.prowriststraps.com/inc/sdetail/83947 I'm not about to pay $15-25 for a pair, and these are very close to all of them anyways. |
