Ultimate day of hell is finally in the books, no time to work out and roughly 2,200 cal. I initially started the calorie intake portion of this journal to keep myself accountable in public, since I traditionally have a very hard time with weight loss. I've been doing pretty well this time around, however, and am going to go back to using this as a pt/lifting log only. Weight today was (indicated) 166.8, according to my half retarded scale. About 3.5lb from where it used to average when I began. Good news.

Good work man. Anybody that can push out those mile times is lean or is on their way to becoming lean. Congrats on the 3.5lbs.

Lifted last friday, nothing worth mentioning though.
Today:
Glutes got strained somehow (probably when I failed on a heavy squat rep last friday), today they're feeling mostly better but I'm waiting till thursday just to make sure. Did some leg extensions/curls today instead. I HOPEFULLY will have time to get some new stuff/questions in the training forum tonight... this delay stuff is realy getting old. Good news is this is the last week of insanity, and I'll have a bit more time after this. I will be missing the 3rd workout this week though, as I'll be out of state for the weekend.

Bench: 3x8 160
DB overheads: 3x10 80
Individual leg leg extensions: 3x9 95, last reps were getting shaky
Individual leg ham curls: 3x6 80
Accessories: done

Starving all day today...

9/18
Saw a friend in the gym today, so we ended up lifting together/kinda doing whatever. I surprised myself with the DLs. Motivated day, I guess.
Squat: 3x3 225 I suck
Bench: 3x3 180 I still suck
DL: 1x8 315, 1x1 375

On a sidenote.. I've been eating like a horse the past 3 days, and still starving all day. Wish I knew why, cause I'm supposed to be losing weight...

With your PT & everything, you should be burning around 4,000-5,000 calories (that's a guesstimation). That is why you're so hungry..............

Now go eat more

Fitday's HB formula puts me right around 3,000/day, usually burn 4-500 in cardio, no idea how much lifting. I use a rough guess (400 or so, plus ~100 from the warmup). I usually eat 2,300-3,000, depending on the day/whether I lifted or not. It's not even that I've been doing any more/eating any less, I've just been.. hungry. I don't think I'm pregnant...

That's hilarious.

I wouldn't pay TOO much attention to the formula. It doesn't consider a shift in metabolism or the amount of calories burned due to do EPOC. If you burn 500 doing cardio at that pace, then you probably burn as many or more afterwards...especially since you've been doing it nearly every day. There's no way that you're only burning 3,000-3,500 calories IME.

It's pretty hard to guess with all of the variables factored in, for sure. I'm trying to look at how much I eat vs. how much my weight changes and going from there. Now all I need is a normal, constant week Once more with the weird stuff, I've somehow magically gotten back up to 170. The past two days were pretty full of food, but even before that the weight was up. It's been constant the past few days so it isn't just some fluke variable, and I know I didn't eat 3-4lbs worth of excess food. We'll see

I've finally posted up my new program for critique in the training section... bout darn time

http://www.bodybuilding.net/showthre...7154#post67154

Between the starving week last week and the vacation weekend I think I've put back on all of the weight I lost Really though, it's time to start watching myself more closely, if I want to start bulking again by November 1. As of now, that's the goal I'm shooting for.

Haven't received any suggestions on what I've posted yet, so I just went with that today.

Squat day.
Squats: 3x8 (heavy) 185 up 5
SLDL: 3x8 (not easy, but not max effort) 205 up 5
DB press: 3x8 (not easy, but not max effort) 120 keep
Lateral shoulder press: 3x8 (heavy) Did DB overheads today due to forgetting which to do... 90 keep
Dips: 3x10 45 up 5
Bicep curls: 2x8 45's form sucked, drop back to 40lb'ers
