going back not forward

It has been feeling lately that my strength is decreasing at times. mainly just in the chest routine of my work out. which has always been my problem section anyways. I was pushing 75 lb dumbbells on the incline bench, but now i feel like im struggling with 65's. My chest is what i feel needs the most work. right now I hit my chest twice a week. my flat bench starts out at 135lbs for a set of 10, than a set of 8. than i jump to 185 lbs, for 8 reps. 205. for 5 or more if i can. than i go at 225 for just 1 rep. anything to help would be awesome.

If you're losing strength it could be overtraining, undereating, not enough sleep, doing the same exercise every single workout every week of the year.

I would agree with this. Switch your routine and do more squats.

Also something to try is doing 100 pushups everyday for two weeks..See if that doesn't help

Do you follow a routine? Or do you just do what feels good that day? Like X said, Squat a shitload.
I usually do 50 pushups in the morning with a little rest (sometimes If I'm not feeling like a lazy bastard)
Just because you bench doesn't mean you only use chest, (Barbell) benching invovles traps, shoulders, triceps. If you're only benching and not including those muscles then you're not going to get stronger. Do power cleans, lying tricep extensions, chest sup rows.

Hello,

I am in the US Army and I have been lifting weights on a off for about 3-5 years. But last year I got hurt while performing airborne operations I am fine now but over that time I have gained a 70lb mixture of muscle and fat. I have aspirations to start bodybuilding, I currently wieght 265 and I want to get even thicker but cut the fat. Now you know as we'll as I do I could take supplements all day long and lift night in an night out. But the bodybuilder has a different thickness. Can somebody run down for me once and for all what do I need to stack or cycle and where do I buy it from money is not a object. I'm ready for change.. :wizard:
