So, you use the spices that come with the Rice-A-Roni, but not the rice that comes in the box?

shauny2times 06-13-2008 07:49 AM

yeah I just pour the rice that comes in the box out to the trash I don't eat much white rice... its killer also use can't believe its not butter to keep the fat down

wouldn't it be cheaper to just pick up some spices ?

shauny2times 06-14-2008 08:12 PM

come on cheapskate rice a roni is like 70 cents a box.....

Ross86 06-14-2008 10:20 PM

70 cents a box for 10 cents worth of spices :)

You got to tell me where you get your spices. If it's not pepper or salt I end up spending like $4 a small container of good spices.

shauny2times 06-15-2008 09:01 AM

its well worth the 70cents common... and where are you gonna get that spice neway?

TALO 06-15-2008 09:14 AM

I guess so , but I can spend a couple bucks on some spices (Mrs.Dash - no salt ) and have them last a few months...I guess it's whatever your tastes are, and how fast you go through them.

I just go down to the dollar store, and buy some garlic powder, dried onion flakes, and I'm good. I don't add salt to anything I cook (unless I cook for someone who likes salt) It may seem like a little bit, but it's like paying three times as much for the same thing. Imagine paying $90 for some Protein from some fancy-pants supp. shop, when you can get the same one for $30 from Wal-Mart.
