When people ask for strength levels, and you reply with you max curl, (which is over your body weight). It tells alot.

When I do pull ups I control myself on the way...

When I do pull ups I control myself on the way down, and hang at the bottom position for about 3 seconds for a stretch, then explosively pull up out of it.
