I used to do it and I used to have shoulder trouble. I switched to a much narrower bench grip and a really narrow military press grip and it's helped my shoulder health immense. that issue go away...

It hurts our lockout. With chains we are now forced to build explosion off our chest and greater lockout power. And using chains on other exercises like the squat and deadlift are no different.
