The majority of trainees seem to be gung ho on upper body.

You may be referring to the cybex leg press machine, which gives a "truer" range of motion, much like the squat. The leg press machine I used for this workout comes down at a 45 degree angle....

A 24 hour gym was open around my way, so I decided to get in a workout knowing that I wouldn't be able to train again until next Thursday. Will probably need the next 4 days to recover though.

Sample:

Week 1:
Deadlifts: 5x5,5,5,5,2
Reverse Grip Weighted Chins: 2x5
BB Rows: 2x6

Week 2:
