Default Contest Ideas Needed

Well guys I think its about time we had another contest going.

I am trying to brainstorm some ideas for a contest we could run with the winners receiving some gift certs or supplements from an online store. I plan on awarding the winners their prizes around Christmas so this would be a "Holiday Contest".

So if you can think of a contest you would like to see feel free to suggest it as I would really like to reward the dedicated people on this board. Otherwise you might be at the mercy of my lack of imagination

Well, that's subjective but I guess it would work if enough people voted.

i know this is prob the toughest thing to do, but I am all about the spirit of competition. posting current pics, then pics at the end of X amount of time then voting on the most improved ect.

Not only is it a good way to get people involved, but also it motivates the shit out of me.

Sounds like you should enter a bodybuilding comp.

Problems with that maybe like injuries. If you get injured right in the beginning then you could still help and participate on the forum but you couldn't get awarded anything. Then what if say a natural BB goes against someone who takes steroids.

It's going to be really hard to do a contest. Let's face facts, we are all working off the honour system, any of us could be complete bullshitters lol.

I think that we should do something like Dave said and nominate a member that gave us the most useful or meaningful advice. All the advice given helps people differently too, for example, advice on steroids wouldn't be useful to me, but it might be invaluable to someone else.

Fuck, just make the contest winner the person that comes up with the best contest idea lol

I thought about a Most Valuable Thread or Most Valuable Poster contest, where people could only vote for another member or thread they didn't create (if they choose to vote). I think I could control that pretty easily (only certain members could vote such as no new members etc), is that something you guys would like to see? If so I will look into it this weekend when I have some free time.

You could do the supplement testing again. Like the top X amount of people who help and contribute to the forum get the chance to test. But you'd have to find testing companies for that so I don't know about that idea.
