Default Suggestions for Member Rewards Wanted!

Hi Guys,

I am thinking of launching a member rewards program which will reward members who frequent the boards and share with us. The way it would work would be based on the number of posts made by the member. So, lets say if they make 100 posts they would receive something like a Bodybuilding.net T-Shirt, and when they reach 500 they get something else, and so forth. You know, some little type of reward for helping the boards grow. Details will get ironed out later, but if you have some suggestions for rewards that would be great.

My ideas so far (please feel free to give opinions on them):
Bodybuilding.net Gear featuring our cartoon logo guy like Shirts, Hats, etc.
Supplement Gift Certificates (I have a specific store planned, but open to opinions)

Thats a pretty good idea Dave, maybe if someone refers 5 people who make at least 20 posts each or something I can reward them. There is already built in referal systems so that should be pretty easy to do.

I ordered some test shirts and will see how they look quality wise, if everything looks good I can start this program in a week or so. Anymore suggestions of products/services you guys would like to be rewarded with let me know.

Shirts are good. Gym bags, workout shorts (really comfortable breathable ones can be hard to find). Maybe even gift cards for supp stores for the higher levels.

Might not be a bad idea to coordinate with some supplement companies for trial samples. I hate muscle tech but I know they shipped alot of trial products like Thermogain and Pump-Tech to GNC. I know most companies like Scivation and Optimum Nutrition send out tester packets to people who request 'em. If you sent them an email requesting some trial size bottles to hand out on this website for a promotion or something they might say yes. It's a good reward idea that won't cost you anything. Just a possibility...

"Many coaches and athletes don't believe in the benefits of GPP at all. Who are the worst offenders? Bodybuilders and powerlifters are by far the worst!. They feel that all they have to do is train the main lifts to get strong. This is why so many of them are out of shape." - Dave Tate

I am finalizing a deal right now with a supplement store for some gift certificates...a store most of you should be very familiar and happy with

So these rewards should be implemented within the next few days and I will set a post count in order to receive them.

Good thing Dave is a moderator, so that makes him exempt from all member competitions. ;)

I believe that the type of post itself should be taken into account for someone to get credit for a post. This is very time consuming but think about it, I could have posted this reply in two seperate replies just to get the extra post on my count. Just something to keep in mind.
