Default Advice on Supp Stack

My friend helped me pick the following supplements out and I wanted to get everyone opinion here. I'm new to these boards also by the way. I am 6'3 220lbs and my goals would be to lose some fat while keeping the muscle I have put on. I have been taking Noxlpode and a generic GNC protein but thats it. What experience do you all have with these other supplement?

Amino 2222 Softgels
NO-Xplode
Lipo 6
GNC Whey Protein
Ny-Tro Pro-40
GNC Mega Man Sport Vitamin

I have been lifting for a few months and am happy with the muscle gains, I just need to lose the body fat.

In general I would get away from the GNC products. They are well known for not meeting their label claims and indeed are always being investegated/sued.

If you are on a high protein diet then the amino capsules will not help much...I would prob use them post workout to get the most out of them.

The NO products are considered by a lot of people here to be next to worthless...I know people swear by them but I tend to thing it a placebo effect brought on by the "pump".

Lipo 6 seems to have good feedback. I've seen several people who've used it here so hopefully they'll chime in.

You don't want to assume because someone is big it is because of supplements of ANY type. They are not steroids and they are not going to work for anyone in the absence of proper diet and orginized training.

My advice would be to scrap the No-Xplode, and all GNC products (because as eric mentioned they dont produce a very "reliable" line of products and the people at the stores aren't very "smart"...most of the time at least, there are a few exceptions I'm sure) I would recommend protein from www.trueprotien.com, and if you dont want to go the online route, Optimum Nutrition's stuff. I would also try and find perhaps powered Amino acids when you run out of your capsules, so you can mix it and drink them before cardio or during your workout so you don't go catabolic while working out. (I personally think liquid would be better than capsules)

I've never used Lipo-6, but I've only heard positive things about the product so I'm sure its good.

Hey thanks for all the quick replies. I havent purchased any of these products yet, it was just what I was thinking about getting. Im definetely going to make some changes to that list now. Thanks for the help guys. On a side note does anyone have any experience with Gakic and Leukic? My buddy is about to get on that and I was wondering if its worth the money.

There are a few reviews here on Gakic, and various threads on muscletech products, I would say that the overall opinion is that you can get their products much cheaper then what they are selling them for

Alright im convinced to give up the No-Xplod, but what should I use as my preworkout drink? I was reading on that trueprotein.com website you referred me to and I dont really understand the differences between Dextrose, Fructose, and Malodextrin. Do I need all of these or will just one of them work?

Your pre and post workout shakes are gonna depend upon your diet and training scheduals. If you want to trim up, I wouldnt use too much dext/malto in your pre shake, perhaps 15-20g, and 20g of whey. Or if your diet calls for it, use none at all. This would put you in a fat burning state while you lift, but it will also directly effect the wieghts you can move.

A typical muscle building post workout shake would have 60-80g dext/malto (50/50 mix) and 40-60g whey. This will restore glycogen levels in the muscle, and begin the rebuilding process. But again this is diet specific.

Stay away from fructose all together. I believe its main purpose is to restore liver glycogen stores, and does not pass freely to muscle ... bad juju man.

For my money here are the suppliments I would use in order of importance:
Whey
dextrose/maltodextrin
fish oil

then a fat burner if you even need it (lipo6, ephedra caffien stack, syneburn)
