Well that could be true. But it seems to me that if a company's commitment to quality was so lax that it would by from manufacturers with such a wide discrepancy in terms of purity then they are doing it because it's cheap.

Bulknutrition stuff comes from China which is why it's so affordable. I don't know where the True stuff is come but it most likely would be China also or else it would be more expensive. You have to be dubious about any creatine product coming from there.

It's definitely an advantage that Bulk gives you a good measurement. But I would be more interested in which company has the higher quality product.

I've been using the same inexpensive creatine product for years and the serving size has never changed. This kind of thing makes me wonder because one versus two grams is a HUGE difference, I mean it's twice as much for Pete's sake. But I think that other things than purity will affect the volume vs. weight. Such as how fine a given powder is. I don't know how much difference one could expect between two CEE products of the same purity but a difference of 100% sounds a little high.

I don't expect anything to be 100% pure of course. And I'm no math whiz. But it seems to me even if you look at something that is 99% pure....that's 10 mgs of other stuff for every gram. Take 3 grams and that's 30 mgs. That adds up. Luckily, most of the typcal chemical impurities in creatine don't seem to be highly toxic. But there could be heavy metals, etc. Most products are in actuality much less than 99% "pure".

Unless you demand an independant HPLC test from them, there is no way anyone can say that one bulk company is better than another.

BTW, Sleazy just said in a similar thread that Doug at TP said that a leveled off teaspoon is about 3 grams of TP CEE. So that sounds a bit more exact than the roughly 1 to 2 grams per scoop thing. He also brought up that a small cheap digital gram scale is a good investment since you can weight out whatever product when you first get it and then know many teaspoons you need. I'm gonna get one myself so I don't have to do math.
