Supplements aren't needed for any type of training IMO, what is absolutly essential to success in bodybuilding is a good diet, not supplements. Diet first, supplements second

supplements do play a key role but also need to be cycled in order to get maximum effect other then a multi vitamin. It's also good to learn which supps to use and when or you can end up wasting a lot of money.

As long as you continue to train and eat the right foods you can keep most of your gains. I know that supplements help but nothing can compare to a good diet, hard training, and a good nights sleep; as long as you do those 3 things you will continue to grow.
