| More and more I'm starting to like pills over powders. They are much more convenient to transport, and don't leave me reaching for something right afterwards to wash the taste out of my mouth. However, it can be a real pain swallowing 10 pills in one sitting, particularly when they're the big kind. Then the other day my sister was grinding up some medicine into my nephew's applesauce, and it made me wonder, is there's any disadvantage to just grinding them up and eating them with some kind of applesauce or pudding or something? |

Gender: | I don't think so, but wouldn't that just turn the pill to a powder? You just said that you would rather have a pill then a powder. So what's the difference between a crushed up pill and powder? |

| depending on the "drink type powders" your refering to, you can use those mixed with other foods just like you would crushed up pills. Quote:

Gender: | I know I've heard this somewhere before, but isn't crushing pills into powder supposed to be dangerous? Many pills use the "time-release" approach to deliver its effects, so dumping all the ingredients at once into your body for your liver to sort out is supposed to be dangerous. |
