Well, judging by this statement of three upper, three lower days, it sounds like you're doing the advanced workout...Arnold calls it "advanced"..I call it "enhanced". You should operate on the "less is more" versus trying to keep up with workouts designed for someone pinning themselves every other day.

In regards to your supplement question..I do not believe they would help you get through a 90 minute lifting marathon six days per week.

Check out the sticky in the training forum labelled "Why aren't you growing"..Lots of stuff that makes most people reading it wonder why it isn't in the latest issue of Flex

Hi 0311,
at this stage I am pretty much concentrating more on form then anything else. trying to learn how to fell the muscles working, and learning to excerise the muscle not just move the weight. I did read the sticky "Why aren't you growing" I'm going to read it again.
thanks
Frank

Glad to hear. Having a good base and fundamentally sound repping technique is a very important step.

i dont know much about supps, but like 0311 said, 3x a week UPPER / LOWER is DAMN taxing...

if you ask me, i'd suggest a simple fullbody routine 3x a week or a 2x Upper / Lower which i am gonna start come may 19th..

best of luck...

Without a doubt, you guys are right. I'm sitting here thinking....yeah I am feeling tired instead of energized. I guess I am doing exactly what the "why aren't you growing" sticky says not to do...another beginner falling in to the rut...
Thanks Guys

When I first joined this site I asked where to begin. The answer I received was to go slow and start with the basics for the first two months and get my body used to a excerise program, by the end of two months I should have learned a little by reading and asking questions. so thats where I stand right now. my weight has remained the same even with the diet. I been eating things like tuna packed in water for lunch plain no mayo, no bread or anything in it, snacks have been oranges & apples. dinner mostly chicken and veggies. I am seeing some gains in my chest and arms. Its amazing I can actually feel my body changing and getting bigger. I have never felt strong in my entire life. I always felt tired and weak (I'm 48) I can't beleive the difference in only a month. My wife said she is actually starting to see a shape to me other then round (LOL)
Thanks Guys...
