| Here's my journal for those wondering what program I'm on and my progress. I'm intending on putting on muscle. And, I've been reading the forums and noticed the discussions on various types of supplements. I was just wondering about how important are multi-vitamins for a beginner like me? Plus, off late I have been facing lower back pains and cramps, what the best supplement which could help in recovering quickly? |

I'm not sure about its effects on natural bobybuilders, but those who take steroids have good luck with taurine for lower back cramps. |

It seems to be the most common complaint, in terms of general discomfort, for someone doing Rippetoe. It should get better as you back becomes used to the workload and as other parts of your body become stronger. Also, if there is a flexiblility issue in the hams, glute, lower back, or hip flexors, this could lead to or aggravate this kind of discomfort. |
